19 Jan STEMPilot delivers Edustation to Air Force JROTC Unit NY-961 at Franklin K Lane Campus, Brooklyn N.Y.
Lt Col Ralph Gracia and MSgt Eddie Carr, Aerospace Science Instructor, welcomed the delivery of their first Edustation flight Simulator for the Air Force JROTC program at Franklin K Lane Campus in Brooklyn NY. Several students joined us for the delivery and each got seat time for the first but definitely not their last as captain. We flew a the F-22, F-35, their favorite. Flight instruction takes place in a Cessna 172. Students flew the Red Bull Extra down the River Thames in London, the F-22 in Guyana, our first flight to the Statue of Liberty changing planes to a Dehavilland Beaver and landing right in front of Lady Liberty. Lt. Col Gracia and MSgt Carr are working to couple their activities with the STEM initiatives of The Multicultural High School who’s Principal is Alexandra Hernandez. Sharing resources is a creative way to install more simulators for students.
