05 Sep STEMPilot @ Fullerton CA Boys & Girls Club

The Fullerton Boys & Girls Club wanted a way to advance STEM activities at the club and selected the STEMPilot Pilot Pro 2 flight simulator for this task. Brett Ackerman is the director for this effort and we spent time working with him and one of his assistants to train them in delivering our curriculum to the kids. By learning to fly, students apply geometry, algebra, physics, trigonometry, meteorology, geography and topography planning each flight. Their Pilot Pro 2 can fly them from every airfield on the planet in one of 50 aircraft. One activity they liked is researching the heritage location of their family then creating a flight plan. The simulator has every Central and  South American location saved as well as every Caribbean Island, making this easy for kids to research.
