25 Nov A Visit to K187 Christa McAuliffe Middle School with 14 Edustations

I stopped in to K187 in Brooklyn NY to see Steve Dimino and walked into a class of students flying a mission in a glider and tow plane. The goal was to see who could get to 5,000 feet riding the thermals in the airstream. Each Edustation has a pilot and copilot working the problem. It was amazing to watch these kids apply lots of physics and meteorology to win the race. Wow.. Steve has also added a battery of Makerbot 3D printers for 3D learning. Congratulations to Steve for making learning so exciting.
