25 Mar Autism Spectrum Disorders use STEMPilot K12 Edustation

Dr. Ellen Richer is the founder of The Whole Child program located in Huntington NY. The FAA’s Joseph Foresto, a Certified Flight Instructor, has been teaching students how to apply math, science and engineering by learning to fly a Cessna 172 aircraft. Working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder is a challenging field and Ellen Richer, Joe Foresto and the equipment form STEMPilot reaches these kids on a new level. More evaluation will come but Ellen’s comments are noteworthy. “General outcome: they love the classes. From an attentional standpoint, they are rapt when they are on the simulator.” We are all looking for ways to have a positive outcome with challenged kids.
