15 Aug LAUSD Superintendent Alberto Carvalho Flies STEMPIlot @ Windsor Hill ES

Los Angeles CA Superintendent Alberto Carvalho flew a STEMPilot  Pilot Pro 4i flight simulator landing at KLGA in New York City. Mr Carvalho visited Windsor Hills Math / Science / Aerospace Magnet to see first hand the incredible program Principal Heim and his team have built. Students are now applying physics, algebra, trig, geometry, geography, meteorology and topography by crafting then flying each flight plan. It turned out that Superintendent Carvalho is a pilot and skydiver. Needless to say he had a great time and understands the virtue of this project based learning.
